While currently living and working in Chicago, IL as a 26 year old, Ben originally grew up in the small town of Kohler, Wisconsin, in a very musically diverse household. His father, Richard Tengowski, is a professional musician and enjoyed 36 great years of teaching middle and high school band. Ben's mother, Beth Tengowski, grew up doing stage productions and continued acting throughout the community for a few decades before devoting her time to her business and family. With their dad as their band teacher, Ben and his siblings all took part in playing instruments. Ben's instrument of choice was woodwinds and his voice, focusing on the clarinet (like his dad) and singing throughout high school. With the amount of musical and theatrical talent in the household it was bound for someone to take to the stage and Ben took that up with no question at the age of 10. It felt like a calling once he stepped onto the stage, and he's been performing multiple times a year, every year since, leading him to study Vocal Performance, Acting, and Cinematography at Lake Forest College after high school.

After college, Ben has worked to develop a unique style in his acting in hopes to captivate and inspire those watching. He's been fortunate to work with innovative performers, teachers, directors and producers in the field and is constantly on the search for new and exciting opportunities. As a highly motivated actor, he strives for perfection and a positive attitude while on set or stage. He's currently focusing on background work with Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. as well as various roles in independent projects, short films and theaters throughout the Chicago and Milwaukee area.
